You also may want to have bathroom shelves here to hold extra toilet paper so no one runs out.

The next thing you need to consider is that from time that toilet is going to need a good cleaning and that means a toilet brush needs to be within reach. Instead of showing off this unattractive necessity, you may want to invest in toilet brush holders to hide them away but keep them nearby.

The Sink

When it comes to the sink area of your bathroom there are a lot of things to think about. How much thought have you put into the bathroom hardware you are going to use? Your bathroom faucets are going to say a lot about this space and be a part of defining the theme.

You also need good bathroom mirrors around the sink. This is a space where people get ready for the work day or to go out for a night on the town and they need to be able to clearly see what they are doing as they do makeup, hair and the like. You may want to have vanity trays just below those mirrors as a place to hold all of the things they are going to use to get ready. How much thought have you put into the lights in your new bathroom to be?
